Can I use underfloor heating with HempWood®?
Yes, all of our HempWood® floors are compatible with underfloor heating systems.
Where can I install HempWood® flooring?
You can install HempWood® in both commercial and residential properties. It is extremely versatile and durable, but we would recommend that you avoid any areas with excess water or moisture.
Where does the hemp grow?
The hemp grows locally (within 100 miles) of the production factory in Murray, KY, USA.
How is HempWood® flooring made?
The stalks of the hemp plant are combined with a soya-based adhesive and then compressed into blocks. These blocks are then shaped into planks of flooring with a T&G fitting system and surface finish added.
How long does hemp take to grow?
From seed to flooring in only 150 days, HempWood® is a great sustainable alternative for wood.
Is HempWood® pet friendly?
There is no need to worry about your pets scratching your flooring. HempWood® is scratch resistant.
How do I install HempWood® flooring?
With a tongue & groove format, HempWood® flooring installs just like other engineered hardwoods.
Does HempWood® flooring off-gas in my home?
Unlike vinyl, HempWood® flooring uses a plant-based adhesive that does not off-gas in your home.
